This study is currently looking for people who:
- Are 18 to 65 years old
- Smoke 10 or more cigarettes daily
Study Description:
While certain individuals may quit smoking without experiencing any withdrawal symptoms, a significant number of people still experience cravings for cigarettes and weight gain. The purpose of this study is to determine if exenatide – an FDA-approved drug for glycemic control – increases the number of people who successfully quit smoking at the end of their treatment and helps with reducing post-cessation weight gain. As part of the study, you will be asked to provide a blood sample periodically and answer questions about your mood, medical conditions, and current or past drug use.
All participants will be compensated for their time.
