Jin H. Yoon, PhD, Associate Professor in the Louis A. Faillace, MD, Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences, is an addiction researcher with the Center of Neurobehavioral Research on Addiction (CNRA). Yoon has experience working with patients who have various substance use disorders, but his main interest is on nicotine dependence. He is currently the primary investigator in a clinical trail studying nicotine dependence among individuals with schizophrenia and possible nicotine-replacement therapy. He has over 60 publications and has presented his research both nationally and internationally. Yoon is also interested in developing both behavioral and drug treatments for individuals with substance use disorders, exploring mechanisms related to substance use such as impulsivity and the use of novel technologies to advance research. He completed his PhD in experimental analysis of behavior at the University of Florida and a postdoctoral fellowship at the University of Vermont.
