Sumera Salamat, MD

Biography

Sumera Salamat, MD, is assistant professor of psychiatry and behavioral sciences. She is currently a child and adolescent psychiatrist with Harris Health System. Salamat received her medical degree from Jinnah Medical and Dental College in Karachi, Pakistan. She then completed residency in psychiatry at St. Louis University Hospital and child and adolescent psychiatry fellowship at The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston. She is a member of several professional organizations including the American Psychiatric Association and the American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry.
