LaCresha Ellison

LaCresha Ellison is a Community Health Education Specialist for the Youth Aware of Mental Health (YAM) Program at UT Health Houston.  She holds a bachelor’s degree in Health Studies, and a minor in Public Health. She is a Certified Community Health Worker with extensive experience in mental health promotion and teaching nutrition and mental health education. She deeply values health education due to its ability help empower individuals and communities to live healthier lives by improving their physical, mental, emotional, and social health by increasing knowledge to influence attitudes about caring for their well-being.
