Study Description:
This study is for people with depression who have not received the relief they hoped from their current medication. The first goal of this study is to develop cutting edge technology that uses EEG (electroencephalogram *like what is used in sleep studies) to help us identify what each person’s unique brain needs to recover from depression. The second part of this study is exploring the effects of a new medication (Alto-300) in patients with depression to see who best responds to this medicine. By combining the two parts of this study, we hope to help find the best treatment for someone’s unique “brain blueprint” from the start of treatment.
There are 12 total study visits over 14-16 weeks (9 are telehealth from your home, 3 are at the hospital, and there are 2 more lab visits at a lab close to you). Participants will undergo psychological assessments, EEG, ECG (electrocardiogram), lab work, and are fitted with a smartwatch to track sleep, activity, and health factors.
All participants will be compensated for their time.
