Child Psychiatric Access Network (CPAN)

What is CPAN?

Child Psychiatry Access Network (CPAN), is Texas pediatric clinicians’ free and trusted mental health resource. CPAN offers provider-to-provider consultations related to specific patients or general questions, care coordination, and training to pediatric clinicians to assist with identifying and treating mental health issues in their young patients.

Our team provide peer to peer collaboration, initial psychiatric assessments, referrals, and resources for our youth.  We are committed to coordinating care, and providing treatment recommendations to your patient population.

CPAN is state-funded, and there is no cost to the provider to utilize the service!

What does CPAN offer? 

Real- time psychiatric assistance, for children and adolescents.

How it Works:

Call Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. CST.

Step 1: CALL 1-888-901-2726

  • Press 2 for Houston and surrounding counties then
  • press 2 for UTHealth Science Center at Houston

Step 2: Provide basic information to an intake specialist.

Step 3: A CPAN LCSW (Social worker) or Psychiatrist will reach out to you to discuss diagnosis, treatment, medication options and general resources.
