Study Description:

This study has been designed for people with depression who have not received the kind of relief from their current medication they hoped. The first goal of this study is to develop cutting edge technology that uses EEG (electroencephalogram *like what is used in sleep studies) to help us better identify what a person’s unique brain needs to be successful in recovering from depression. The second part of this study is exploring the effects of a new medication (Alto-100) in patients with depression to see who best responds to this medicine. By combining the two parts of this study, we hope to use the technology to help find the best treatment for someone’s unique “brain blueprint” from the moment they start treatment. There are 12 total study visits over 14-16 weeks (9 are telehealth from your home, 3 are at the hospital). Participants will undergo psychological assessments, EEG, ECG (electrocardiogram), are fitted with a smartwatch to track sleep, activity, and health factors, and complete lab work.

All participants will be compensated for their time.
