TCHATT – What You Need To know
We want to reassure you that mental health support for Texas students will continue, even as some pilot programs end or are incorporated into the overall TCHATT
program. Here’s what you need to know:
- If a student needs help, TCHATT is here for them.
- TCHATT’s core mission is to assess, treat, and refer Texas students for appropriate mental health services.
- TCHATT will assess any referred students, whether it’s for trauma, anxiety, substance abuse, or other concerns as we always do.
- We’ll work with the family to find the right care, which might be through TCHATT or other community services.
- If your student needs specialized care, we’ll help connect them with the appropriate resources.
Our goal is to ensure your student gets the support they need, no matter what. If you have a referral or concern, please do not hesitate to reach out.

TCHATT Referrals Through School Only:
Please note that all referrals to TCHATT must now come through the student’s school. We understand this may be a change for some, so we want to make sure you’re aware. If you have any questions about this new process or need help getting started, please don’t hesitate to contact your HRI. We’re here to support you every step of the way.
