Common signs and symptoms of emotional & psychological trauma include
- Feeling on guard and constantly alert
- Feeling numb or detached
- Avoiding people, places and things related to the traumatic event
- Feeling irritable, angry
- Having trouble sleeping and/or disturbing dreams, memories, and flashbacks
- Having difficulty concentrating
- Having programs in family, friend and work relationships
- Substance abuse
