tRNS Treatment for ADHD Symptoms

Study Overview:

This clinical trial aims to investigate the effectiveness of transcranial Random Noise Stimulation (tRNS) as a novel treatment option for managing ADHD symptoms in children and adolescents. tRNS is a non-invasive brain stimulation technique that may help improve attention, reduce hyperactivity, and enhance cognitive function.

Study Design:

  • Type: Randomized, controlled trial
  • Duration: Approximately 10 weeks
  • Visits: Participants will have 1 screening visit, 10 treatment sessions, and 2 follow-up visits (conducted remotely). Each treatment session lasts about 20 minutes.
  • Location: Behavioral and Biomedical Science Building (BBSB), 1941 East Road, Houston, TX 77054.

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Age: Children and adolescents aged 7 to 12 years
  • Diagnosis: Must have a diagnosis of ADHD

Compensation:

Participants will receive up to $310 if all study visits are completed. This includes $20 per visit for the screening and treatment sessions, as well as an additional $50 bonus for completing all visits. A doctor’s note will be provided for each visit to minimize school disruptions.
