Overview:
We invite you to participate in an essential observational study that will significantly enhance our understanding of treatment-resistant depression. This comprehensive longitudinal study is designed to collect critical data that will identify key clinical, neural, and biological factors contributing to poor outcomes in patients with treatment-resistant depression. Additionally, we will investigate biomarkers that predict treatment response. We are determined to refine and improve future treatments and interventions by tackling these pressing questions. Your participation is crucial in driving this important work forward.
Participants will undergo thorough physical and psychological assessments. This will include collecting blood and stool samples, neurocognitive tests, mood state evaluations, and other additional procedures. Join us in this groundbreaking study to contribute to the future of research and treatment for treatment-resistant depression.
This is a research study, and all participants are volunteers.
Inclusion Criteria:
- 18 years or older.
- Primary lifetime diagnosis of major depressive disorder or bipolar disorder.
- Have no unstable severe medical condition.
What you may be asked to do:
- You will be asked to provide a blood sample and complete psychological assessments, likely during a regular clinical visit.
- Provide a stool specimen to study the microbiome.
- Completing online surveys.
