Zenobia Reed

Zenobia Reed is a native Houstonian, devoted mother of two, adjunct Sociology professor, and community activist who has dedicated her career to helping individuals and families navigate some of life’s most challenging milestones. Her passion for service began as an All-American collegiate sprinter at The University of Texas at Austin, where she developed the discipline, resilience, and leadership skills that continue to guide her work today.

After returning to Houston, Zenobia earned a Bachelor’s degree in Sociology and a Master’s degree in Psychology. Her personal and professional experiences have fueled a deep commitment to addressing mental and behavioral health disparities among youth and underserved communities. She believes that transparency, self-awareness, and learning from life’s experiences are essential tools for overcoming obstacles and reaching one’s fullest potential.

With three years of service in the UTHealth Youth Aware of Mental Health (YAM) Program, Zenobia has worked extensively to support young people and families facing behavioral health challenges. As a Certified Qualified Mental Health Professional (QMHP) and Independent Behavioral Health Consultant, she partners with behavioral health agencies and community organizations to strengthen service delivery, improve operational effectiveness, and restructure programs to better meet the evolving needs of the communities they serve.

Through education, advocacy, and strategic consultation, Zenobia remains committed to creating meaningful change by empowering individuals, supporting families, and helping organizations build stronger, more accessible behavioral health systems.
