Mentoring and Promotion Program (MAPP)

The Office of Administration and Faculty Affairs, in collaboration with the Faculty Senate, is proud to announce the launch of a new initiative to provide faculty mentoring at McGovern Medical School. The Mentoring and Promotion Program (MAPP) will help junior faculty chart their own unique path to success in the context of a group mentoring format. Experienced senior faculty will lead cohorts of participants in monthly meetings over the course of the next academic year that cover topics including networking, preparing for promotion/tenure, finding work/life balance, obtaining grant funding for research projects, and much more. Mentoring groups will be track-specific to provide optimal support for discovery science, clinical and clinical research faculty.

Deadline for survey response to guarantee inclusion in the program is September 18, 2024. Meetings will start in late November.
