The Purpose of the Faculty Review

• Help each faculty member set individual career goals that are realistic and concrete, and consistent with the missions of the department, school and institution.
• Provide a basis for reviewing/assessing past performance, career development and faculty goals vis a vis the expectations of the department chair and the institution.
• Supplement and, in some cases, quantify information provided in the faculty member’s curriculum vitae for administrative decisions which impact salary, promotion, and other faculty benefits.
