In late May 2023, the McGovern Medical School Department of Emergency Medicine Ultrasound and Global Health sections collaborated with faculty and residents from Universidad San Francisco de Quito, Pontifica Universidad Católica de Ecuador, and Hospital General Docente de Calderón in Quito, Ecuador, to conduct hands-on emergency ultrasound workshops for residents and recent graduates of the universities.
