**Mentoring and Promotion Program (MAPP)

The Mentoring and Promotion Program (MAPP) will help our junior faculty chart their unique path to success in the context of a group mentoring format. The application for this 2021-22 is now closed.

**Fast Track Process for New Faculty Appointments

**New track: Non-Tenure Instruction Track

Effective 9/1/2019, faculty whose primary focus is teaching may be appointed on the newly created Non-Tenure Instruction (NTI) track. Click here for details.

**Accelerated Promotion for Non-Tenure Clinical Track

Faculty considering applying for promotion with less than 5 years of service in current rank are considered accelerated and must satisfy rigorous criteria above and beyond normal expectations that have been recently codified by the FAPTC (click here for criteria). Chairs and faculty are strongly urged to consult the Associate Dean for Faculty Affairs before submitting a request for accelerated promotion.

**Women Faculty Forum

Picture a Scientist:  A documentary that brings viewers on the journey of three women scientists’ experiences of gender inequality in the STEM field.

This movie is now available to watch for all UTHealth employees through Panopto. We hope this movie provides an insight into the difficulties of women in all fields. As an institution, we continuously strive to create an environment that promotes diversity, equality, and opportunities for all.
