SHPEP Graduating Class

Congratulations to the 80 undergraduate students (40 premed) on completing the UTHealth Houston Summer Health Professions Education Program. Each summer, McGovern Medical School partners with the Cizik School of Nursing and UTHealth Houston School of Dentistry to host the AAMC Summer Health Professionals Program.

The program is a free summer enrichment program focused on improving access to information and resources for college students interested in health professions. The goal of the program is to strengthen the academic proficiency and career development of students underrepresented in the health professions and prepare them for a successful application and matriculation to health professions schools.
