Teaching Kitchen
The UTHealth Houston School of Public Health is offering a free, 12-month Teaching Kitchen based lifestyle program for people with obesity and metabolic risk.
You may be eligible to participate if you:
- are 25-70 years of age
- have obesity
- have at least 1 of the following: prediabetes or high blood sugar; fatty liver disease or abnormal liver labs; or high cholesterol
The Teaching Kitchen program includes training in:
- nutrition and health
- cooking skills and techniques
- movement and exercise
- mindfulness and stress reduction
- health coaching
Participants will receive free Teaching Kitchen lifestyle classes with all ingredients provided. Participants could also receive up to $200 worth of incentives in addition to cooking classes for completing study assessments. For more information, click here.
