Students and faculty from McGovern Medical School and the Movement Disorders Subspecialty Clinic (UTMOVE) participate in the 2024 Michael J. Fox Foundation Run/Walk Series at Minute Maid Park. Participants include (from left to right), Shivika Chandra, MD; Lance Babcock; Juan Martinez Lemus, MD; Mya Shiess, MD; Frank Ramirez; Jacob Jefferson; Miguel Elizarraras; Daniel Latour; and William McCarthy (not pictured).

The Michael J. Fox Foundation (MJFF) established the Run/Walk Series (formerly known as the Fox Trot) in 2017 in New York City. Since then, the Series has evolved and expanded to multiple locations across the United States.

These family-friendly events connect those living with Parkinson’s, their loved ones, supporters and community partners. Collectively, the Run/Walk Series has raised more than $7.5 million and united over 23,000 participants across the United States and internationally.

All proceeds from the Run/Walk Series go directly to MJFF’s high-impact research programs to speed better treatments and a cure for Parkinson’s.
