The Department of Orthopedics hosts the OREF Southwest Resident Research Symposium on Friday, Oct. 18. The event brings together residency programs from Texas, Oklahoma, Mississippi, and Louisiana and featured Asheesh Bedi, MD, as the keynote speaker.
This symposium featured 21 residents all participating in four moderated sessions. Residents shared groundbreaking research vying for awards across multiple categories including a first-place prize of $1,000, two second-place awards of $750 each, three third-place awards of $500 each, and the $600 Presenter’s Choice Award.
