Joint Psychiatry Conference set for March 1

The Louis A. Faillace, MD, Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences, along with Baylor College of Medicine and the Texas Children’s Hospital, will host the Joint Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Conference on March 1 at the Cooley Center.

The 2025 conference will review ADHD, depression, and anxiety, both from a pharmacology and psychotherapy point of view, as well as systems of care. The conference will feature speakers from UTHealth Houston, Texas Children’s Hospital, Baylor College of Medicine, UT Southwestern, and UTHealth San Antonio.

Speakers for the event include Steven Pliszka, MD, UTHealth San Antonio; Marni Axelrad, PhD, Texas Children’s Hospital; Chadi Calarge, MD, Texas Children’s Hospital; Graham Emslie, MD, UT Southwestern; Beth Kennard, PsyD, UT Southwestern; and Luanne Southern, MS, Texas DFPS.

The conference is open to all healthcare professionals, including nurses, social workers, physicians, residents, fellows, students, and other trainees, as well as the general public. Up to six education credits are available for the conference. Breakfast, lunch, and refreshments will be provided.
