Woolverton to present Carmel Dyer, MD Lecture Series

The UTHealth Houston Institute on Aging welcomes Cindy Woolverton, PhD, assistant professor in the Louis A. Faillace, MD, Department of Psychiatry and Behavior Sciences, to present the next installment if the Carmel Dyer, MD Lecture Series, July 21.
Woolverton will present on “Enhancing Inpatient Mental Healthcare for Older Adults Through Age-Friendly Care: John S. Dunn Behavioral Health Sciences Center Progress and Lessons Learned,” from noon until 1 p.m. in MSB B.605.
Woolverton is a licensed clinical psychologist with primary interests in the assessment and delivery of evidence-based treatments for older adults with mental health concerns. She completed her PhD in clinical psychology from the University of Arizona and a predoctoral internship in geropsychology at the VA Boston Healthcare System, where she also served as a postdoctoral resident.
The Carmel Dyer, MD Lecture Series is named in honor of the late Carmel Dyer, MD, the first director of the Joan and Stanford Alexander Division of Geriatric and Palliative Medicine in the Department of Internal Medicine.
Refreshments will be served, and parking will be validated in the parking garage located at 6414 Fannin St.
