Following the removal of a warrant hold by the state of Texas, Uber has returned as an approved option for work-related travel at UTHealth Houston.

Last week Uber Technologies was placed on a warrant hold, which made the rideshare company ineligible for university business purposes temporarily.

With the hold lifted, employees may resume using Uber according to existing UTHealth Houston travel and reimbursement policies. Approval applies to all appropriate uses of Uber, including rides booked directly by employees, reimbursed travel expenses, and transportation arranged on behalf of visitors or job candidates.
