At the March Association of American Medical Colleges Council of Deans meeting in Washington, DC, Dean LaTanya J. Love, MD, had the opportunity to hear from and connect with Jay Bhattacharya, MD, PhD, director of the National Institutes of Health.

The Council of Deans convenes deans of AAMC member medical schools in the United States and Canada to address issues affecting academic medicine and develop strategies to achieve excellence in medical education, research, and patient care.
