CardioFrontiers 2026 brings cardiovascular research leaders to Houston
Investigators, trainees, and collaborators across the cardiovascular community will gather in the Texas Medical Center Sept. 11-14 for CardioFrontiers 2026, a four-day conference highlighting advances in cardiovascular science.
Hosted by McGovern Medical School at UTHealth Houston in partnership with The Texas Heart Institute and Baylor College of Medicine, CardioFrontiers will explore research spanning cardiac development, disease, and regeneration, from fundamental biology to translational and clinical research.
The conference will feature leading cardiovascular research from institutions across the United States and internationally, along with rising investigators, graduate students, and postdoctoral fellows. Sessions will focus on emerging discoveries in cardiovascular biology while providing opportunities for scientific exchange, collaboration, and career development.
CardioFrontiers begins Friday, Sept. 11, with an Early Career and Trainee Symposium in MSB 3.001. The program will include graduate student, postdoctoral fellow, and early-career faculty presentations; a panel discussion on navigating career decisions; and a poster session.
Scientific sessions continue Sept. 12-13 at Baylor College of Medicine and will feature the keynote address from James F. Martin, MD, PhD, Vivian L. Smith Professor in Regenerative Medicine in the Department of Integrative Physiology at Baylor College of Medicine and director of the Cardiomyocyte Renewal Laboratory at The Texas Heart Institute.
The conference returns to McGovern Medical School on Sept. 14 for its final day of scientific presentations.
