Cardio-Oncology Program

Our team of expert cardiologists are dedicated to the cardiovascular care of patients with cancer, including the evaluation and management of the possible cardiovascular complications of cancer and its treatment. They identify cancer patients who have elevated risk for short or long-term impairment of the cardiovascular system before treatment, and work to improve these risk factors prior to, during, and after chemotherapy and/or radiation therapy. They also monitor the cardiovascular health of cancer survivors in long-term follow-up. The ACTAT team has expertise in complex cardiovascular procedures and advanced heart failure therapies and can offer them to patients who have experienced severe damage of any structure of the heart through chemotherapy or radiotherapy.
