Clinical Programs
The Joan and Stanford Alexander Division of Geriatric and Palliative Medicine offers comprehensive programs across inpatient, outpatient, and home settings to support older adults and those living with serious illness. Our interdisciplinary teams address acute care, rehabilitation, symptom management, and quality-of-life needs.
Inpatient Programs
- Acute Care for Elders (ACE) Unit (Memorial Hermann-TMC Hospital): Specialized care for older adults with acute illness, preventing hospital complications.​
- Geriatrics Consult Services (Memorial Hermann-TMC Hospital, LBJ Hospital): Evaluations for delirium, polypharmacy, falls, discharge planning, and more.
- Palliative/Supportive Care Consults (Memorial Hermann-TMC Hospital, LBJ Hospital): Symptom relief and family support for serious conditions.​
