Biography
Benjamin Saxton is a former lecturer at Rice University (external link) in the Department of English (external link) and was previously a postdoctoral fellow with the McGovern Center. Dr. Saxton is Visiting Assistant Professor at Bard Early College in New Orleans (external link) and is Adjunct Instructor in the Program in Medical Ethics and Human Values (external link) at Tulane University School of Medicine (external link) in New Orleans. His essays and nonfiction have appeared in The Big Roundtable, Academic Medicine, Health Humanities Reader, the Flannery O’Connor Review, and Tolkien Studies.
