Postdoctoral Fellow position available for September 1 start date

The McGovern Center for Humanities and Ethics is accepting applications for a Postdoctoral Research Fellow to begin on September 1, 2026. The successful candidate will participate in center activities, with opportunities for teaching, educational development, research, publishing, and more.

Candidates must hold a doctoral/terminal degree in the humanities, bioethics, or social sciences (completed by June 2026), have teaching experience, demonstrate evidence of research/publication in the humanities or bioethics, possess strong professional and interpersonal skills, and exhibit collaborative abilities in an interdisciplinary environment within the medical school context.

The fellowship will be awarded for up to two years (contingent upon satisfactory performance in the first year), with an annual stipend of $65,000 (plus benefits) and a $2,500 allowance for travel and books.
