A recent paper by Josh Bandopadhay, MD, was featured as a “Must Read” by Johns Hopkins Bayview Division of General Internal Medicine. In the paper “Creativity as a Core Competency in Medical Education: The Art of Medicine (external link),” Bandopadhay offers a framework for integrating medical humanities into medical education. The article appears online through the journal Medical Humanities.

Bandopadhay recently graduated from McGovern Medical School in May 2026 and completed the McGovern Center’s Medical Humanities Scholarly Concentration. His capstone project, on which the article is based, received the Best Research Paper honor for the 2026 Karff Chair Awards.
