Human Ties Digest

The McGovern Center for Humanities and Ethics initially launched a humanities focused publication in 2018 to showcase the creative work of students, residents, faculty, and staff within the center. Since its conception, led by center faculty Anson Koshy, the Human Ties Digest has evolved into a student-led annual publication that holds space for all faculty, trainees, and staff within UTHealth Houston and McGovern Medical School to share their creative works. Themes from previous editions include finding hope amidst uncertainty and the value of identities (both personal and professional).

The 2023-2024 Human Ties Digest medical student co-editors Joshua Bandopadhay, Shailee Modi, and Rachitha Jadala have created a call for submissions around the theme “Catalyst”. What moments defined your path? Who inspired you? How do you create change?

For more information about the current digest or to submit a creative work, refer to the call for submissions below or email humantiesdigest@uth.tmc.edu.
