UT Physicians Audiology and UT Physicians Otorhinolaryngology, the outpatient clinics of the Department of Otorhinolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery at McGovern Medical School at UTHealth, will open their doors to the public on Friday, Nov. 13, 2020, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. All medically recommended precautions will be taken to prevent the spread of COVID-19.
“We want people in our communities to visit us, meet our audiologists, and enjoy free demonstrations of the latest hearing-aid technology available,” says Aniruddha “Alok” Patki, MD, a board-certified otologist-neurotologist and assistant professor in the Department of Otorhinolaryngology. “In addition to learning more about our comprehensive audiology services, people who attend the open houses will have the opportunity to have their hearing tested with a free screening audiogram.”
Attendees will learn about leading-edge sound technology and Bluetooth connectivity. “This unprecedented technology allows you to experience sound the way you like it, whether it’s in your car, at a concert or on a busy street,” says Mackenzie Bellomy, AuD, CCC-A, F-AAA, a board-certified audiologist. “With state-of-the-art hearing aids, you don’t have to find the ideal listening conditions. You can create them wherever you are.”
Attendees will also be eligible for a $250 discount per hearing aid purchased the day of the event.
The open houses will be held at UT Physicians Audiology offices at these locations:
