Dr. Patrick Byrne to Speak at ORL Frontiers 2026
Facial plastic and reconstructive surgeon Patrick J. Byrne, MD, MBA (external link), chief of Cleveland Clinic’s Integrated Surgical Institute and chair of the Clinic’s Department of Otorhinolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery, will be the guest of honor at this year’s ORL Frontiers, to be held June 12, 2026, at the TMC3 Collaborative Building located in Helix Park (external link).
Dr. Byrne leads Cleveland Clinic’s efforts in patient care, outcomes, education, safety, innovation, and research. Previously, he served as chair of the academic medical center’s Head and Neck Institute and was director of the Division of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery in the Department of Otolaryngology/Head and Neck Surgery at The Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore.
A graduate of the UC San Diego School of Medicine, he completed residency training in otolaryngology at the same institution. He went on to complete a fellowship in facial plastic and reconstructive surgery at the University of Minnesota Medical School/Children’s Minnesota and a fellowship in health care management at the Advisory Board Company in Washington, D.C. Dr. Byrne also earned an MBA from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.
Internationally recognized as a facial plastic and reconstructive surgeon and as a head and neck surgeon, he has founded several startups and led volunteer teams worldwide, including providing surgical care to children with facial deformities in Nicaragua.
The Otorhinolaryngology Frontiers medical education meeting showcases the department’s research endeavors, residents, and emerging technology in the diagnosis and management of common otolaryngologic clinical problems. Attendees learn about technological advances and their applications in clinical practice and evaluate patient safety and quality improvement practices. The meeting will include exhibitor displays highlighting innovative products and services supporting otolaryngology practice and patient care.
