International Rehabilitation Program
The International Rehabilitation Program through the University of Texas Houston Medical School Department of Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation provides an opportunity to share rehabilitation knowledge and experience with individuals who might not otherwise have access to these services around the world. Our faculty care for those with disabilities resulting from diagnoses ranging from Stroke and Traumatic Brain Injury to Amputation and Spinal Cord Injury. This is provided through the hospitals and clinics throughout the Houston area, including the prestigious TIRR Memorial Hermann hospital. In addition our faculty, lead by P. Jacob Joseph, M.D., offer the availability of consultative services throughout the world. Additional consultation can be provided from a multidisciplinary team including speech and language pathology, physical, and occupational therapy.
For any questions regarding international consultation services, please e-mail Dr. Salam Waqialla at [email protected].
