Spasticity and Neurorehabilitation Fellowship

Program Overview

The Spasticity Fellowship is a non-ACGME accredited, Texas Medical Board-approved fellowship program. The program is designed to develop future leaders in spasticity management. Fellows are trained to develop expert clinical skills in the diagnosis and treatment of spasticity and its complications, including oral pharmacotherapy, chemodenervation with neurotoxins, phenol or alcohol neurolysis, cryoneurolysis, percutaneous needle fasciotomy, intrathecal baclofen therapy, bracing, splinting, and therapeutic modalities. Fellows are required to participate in at least one scholarly activity and participate in the education of PM&R residents on spasticity-related topics. The program is designed for one year, but can be tailored to meet the academic needs of fellows
