Training Site and Curriculum

The primary training site is based on TIRR Memorial Hermann Hospital. The fellow will have opportunity for off-site rotations for pump implantation/removal surgery, consults etc.

The training curriculum varies based upon clinical flow and individual fellow’s personal interests. It is generally divided as follows: 10% inpatient management, 55% outpatient management, 30% research, and 5% education of others. Roughly, the fellow will be on inpatient service for one month, and will follow teaching faculty in outpatient spasticity clinic 3 days a week, and in spasticity consults on inpatients. The fellow will spend 1-2 days a week in the research laboratory for their research projects.
