Course Description

The Faillace Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences, along with our chair, Jair Soares, and course director Marsal Sanches, invite you to join us for the 2024 UTHealth Houston Mood Disorders Conference: Bipolar Disorder Across the Lifespan.

The conference will explore the public health significance of Bipolar Disorder starting at an early age into geriatrics, and the extent to which this may justify the development of early intervention strategies for this disorder. Disease, diagnosis, and different treatments will also be discussed during the conference. Additionally, there have been advances in recognition and treatment of these co-occurring disorders in recent years. It is important for health care practitioners to be able to recognize co-occurring illnesses in bipolar disorder.
