Mission Statement

Purpose and Mission:

1. To provide a professional environment to conduct state-of-the-art behavioral and cognitive neuroscience research within the domains of affective neuromodulation and computational neuroscience.
2. To create and establish a professional training environment that is welcoming to junior faculty, post-doctoral fellows, and students within the Department of Psychiatry & Behavioral Health Sciences.
3. To contribute to outreach events within schools located within our communities in the Houston area to teach about the brain and mental health, and to help reduce stigma related to mental health.
