Biography

Taha Ali, MD, is an assistant professor in the Faillace Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences. Ali received his medical degree from McGovern Medical School at UTHealth. He then stayed at UTHealth to complete a residency in psychiatry and a fellowship in child and adolescent psychiatry. Ali is board-certified in adult psychiatry by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology.

Ali has expertise in the comprehensive assessment of children and adolescents. He has a special interest in expanding access to psychiatric care for youth, and he currently provides outpatient services through the Texas Child Health Access Through Telemedicine (TCHATT) program at UTHealth. He is also an educator and has an active role supervising child psychiatry fellows.
