Jacques J. Morcos, MD, professor, chair, and John P. and Kathrine G. McGovern Distinguished Chair in the Vivian L. Smith Department of Neurosurgery, recently served as the president of the 9th Congress of the World Federation of Skull Base Societies, which was joined with the 34th North American Skull Base Society meeting.

The congress took place Feb. 12-16 in New Orleans and saw a record 1,500 attendees from the U.S. and abroad with more than 55 countries represented. Morcos will serve as president of the WFSBS until 2029 and will lead the group of 16 global skull base societies throughout his term.
