McGovern Medical School bookstore relocates ahead of fall semester

Students returning for the 2026-27 academic year will find the McGovern Medical School at UTHealth Houston bookstore in a new location.

As the medical school moves forward with construction of its new interactive learning studio in the bookstore’s previous basement location, the store has relocated to the ground floor of the Medical School Building in MSB G.410, next to the green elevators.

While the bookstore’s hours and procedures remain unchanged, its inventory has been reduced to accommodate the smaller space. Most items previously available in store remain available for online purchase and in-store pickup.

Items available for purchase, either online or in store, include:

  • Books
  • Medical supplies
  • Software
  • Office and school supplies
  • White coats
  • Medical uniforms
  • UTHealth Houston-branded apparel
  • Gift items

The bookstore is currently operating on summer hours, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday through Friday, through July 31.

Beginning Aug. 1, it will resume its regular schedule: from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Thursday, and from 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday.
