Yatsu Day Symposium scheduled for Aug. 14

Join the UTHealth Houston Institute for Stroke and Cerebrovascular Disease for its 16th annual Yatsu Day Symposium Aug. 14 at the Fayez S. and Susan K. Sarofim Research Building.

Yatsu Day aims to increase physicians’ and trainees’ knowledge of the latest advances in stroke prevention, treatment, recovery, and therapeutics.

This year’s theme, “The New Era of Stroke Care: Pharmaceutical Innovation and Therapeutics,” will highlight emerging pharmaceutical innovations and the latest evidence shaping stroke care, including:

  • GLP-1 receptor agonists
  • Factor XIa inhibitors
  • Modern lipid-lowering strategies
  • Cellular therapies and neuroplastogens for stroke recovery
  • Artificial intelligence in drug development
  • The role of supplements and vitamins in stroke management

The symposium is free to attend and offers both in-person and virtual attendance options.
