Through the lens of Bryant Boutwell

The Art Wall at McGovern Medical School is currently featuring the wildlife photography of Bryant Boutwell, DrPH. Boutwell spent four decades serving institutions throughout the Texas Medical Center, where his work encompassed medical humanities, communications, professionalism, and ethics.

Following his retirement, Boutwell turned his attention to another form of storytelling: wildlife photography. His photographs reflect a lifelong interest in observation and the natural world, capturing wildlife through the same thoughtful lens that has shaped his career as an educator, writer, and historian.
