Our cardiology fellows have the opportunity to rotate through multiple affiliated training hospitals, all centrally located in the Texas Medical Center, including Lyndon B. Johnson Hospital, The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center, and Memorial Hermann-Texas Medical Center. Second and third year fellows will also participate in an away rotation at Christus Spohn Hospital Corpus Christi-Shoreline.

 

Core Curriculum Rotations

 Clinical rotations include ten months of the following:

  • Cardiac Consultation
  • Cardiac Care Unit
  • Cardiac Medical Unit
  • Heart Failure/Transplant
  • Cardiothoracic/Cardiovascular Surgery

Non-invasive Imaging rotations include ten months of the following:

  • Transthoracic and transesophageal echocardiogram
  • Nuclear Stress Imaging
  • Cardiovascular MRI/CTA

Additional Rotations include:

  • Electrophysiology
  • Percutaneous coronary Catheterization/Structural/Peripheral
  • Adult Congenital Heart Disease
  • Research
  • Elective Rotations
  • Stress Testing, Ambulatory Electrocardiographic Monitoring
  • Cardiac Rehabilitation
  • 36-months of Outpatient Continuity Clinic
