Puja Bharat Gandhi, MD

Clinical Fellow

Dr. Puja Gandhi earned her Bachelor of Science in Human Biology and Anthropology from Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia. She earned her Master of Public Health from UTHealth Houston School of Public Health as well as her M.D. from UTHealth Houston McGovern Medical School in 2018. She completed her Internal Medicine internship at Loyola University Chicago Stritch School of Medicine in Chicago, IL and went on the complete her Internal Medicine residency at McGovern Medical School in Houston, Texas, in 2021. Dr. Gandhi practiced as a primary care physician at Kelsey-Seybold prior to joining UTHealth Houston McGovern Medical School in December 2022.

Currently in her role as a General Internal Medicine Fellow, she participates in educational, clinical, and research interests related to academic medicine. She is interested in lifestyle medicine as it pertains to chronic disease management and incorporating public health into medical education. She is helping with medical school curriculum development related to population health and is getting involved with Problem Based Learning. Additionally, she is helping promote preventative and primary care at UT Physicians Victory clinic by preceptoring Internal Medicine residents and creating lectures focusing on these topics. Additionally, she works in an inpatient capacity at both LBJ/Memorial Hermann TMC with Internal Medicine residents.
