Anne Kappes, BSN, RN, IBCLC

Anne enjoys offering practical solutions to help her clients meet their breastfeeding goals.

“I graduated from Texas A&M University in 1998 and began teaching science and math for HISD.  After the birth of my first child in 2009, I became increasingly interested in breastfeeding, breast milk properties, and supporting friends and neighbors as they became new mothers. It was after the birth of my daughter in 2011 that I decided to change careers and follow my passion of helping mothers and babies.

I began teaching breastfeeding, baby care, and infant safety classes at Woman’s Hospital of Texas in 2012, completed an internship with the Lactation Foundation in 2016, and became a board-certified lactation consultant in 2018.  There is a beautiful connection between mother and baby and feeding is one of many ways to increase that bond.”

Anne is conscious of her client’s goals in regard to breastfeeding and strives  to be supportive as well as informative.  She is a native Houstonian who has a genuine love for her town.  She enjoys spending time with her family, working out with friends, and especially eating out!
