Our lactation consultants are proud to offer appointments to Texas residents.

What to Expect

When you arrive at the Lactation Foundation, one of our team members will greet you and escort you to a private consultation room. You will meet with one of our lactation consultants, and she will take a complete medical history of both you and your baby and ask you to describe your specific breastfeeding concerns. Then, we will obtain your baby’s weight, and, in most cases, we will observe your baby feeding at the breast. We will assist with pumping, bottle feeding, and alternative feeding methods, as needed. After the consult, we will provide you with a personalized plan of care. At the end of your visit, we will address any questions you may still have. At check out, you will be able to schedule a follow-up visit if one is needed.

What to Bring

• A baby that is ready to feed
• Pumped breast milk or formula (if using already)
• Your breast pump and pump parts, if available

We also offer one-on-one prenatal consultations.
