In partnership with the Academic Medical Student Organization and Medical Student Research Office in the Office of Educational Programs, the McGovern Center will host the inaugural McGovern Medical School Teaching Competition, Dec. 7.
The competition will feature abstracts from students across first- through third-year classes, with eight finalists being selected for the competition. The McGovern Medical School teaching competition will be held from noon-1 p.m. in MSB 3.001 and via Cisco Webex.
Finalists for the competition and their projects are:
First-place award winners will receive the inaugural Gary C. Rosenfeld Award for Excellence in Teaching. First, second, and Fan Favorite awards will be announced at the end of the competition hour.
The McGovern Medical School community is invited to hear presentations from each finalist student teacher. Lunch will be available for the first 75 audience attendees thanks to the generous support of LaTanya Love, MD, dean of education.
