Francine Snow, DrPH, MSN, RN-BC (Cizik School of Nursing), Angela Gomez, EdD, MBA, MS (McGovern Center), and Rachel Jantea, MD, MS (McGovern Medical School), gave a presentation on the Virtual Interprofessional Policy Simulation (VIPS) at the 2023 Texas Interprofessional Education Consortium Annual Meeting. The presentation was titled, “Policy Influence & Advocacy: A Virtual Interprofessional Health Policy Simulation (VIPS).”
VIPS is a joint project of the Center for Interprofessional Collaboration and Quality Enhancement Plan, which focuses on Healthcare Policy for Health Professionals. It is an educational activity that involves students of all six UTHealth Houston schools, engaging them as interprofessional teams in a simulation in which they develop health policy recommendations to address a healthcare issue.
