Bassam Zahid, MD is a staff physician in the Department of Emergency Medicine at McGovern Medical School and was an inaugural fellow of the McGovern Center’s Writing Fellowship from 2022 to 2023. On Saturday, November 11, Zahid will co-facilitate a day-long medical narrative workshop at Writespace. The workshop is called, “Both Sides of the Stethoscope: Writing Your Medical Narrative,” and is open to providers and patients. Alongside Zahid will be local Houston author, Catherine Vance.
